Putnam County “Christmas on the Square”
2nd Annual Christmas on the Square event, Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the heart of downtown Cookeville. This festive celebration promises to be a day filled with joy, community spirit, and plenty of festive fun for the whole family. This magical event is teaming up with “Shop Small Saturday” to create a new holiday tradition in Cookeville, bringing together residents and visitors alike to celebrate the spirit of the season.

The evening finale will be a grand tree lighting ceremony on the courthouse lawn at 5:00pm. We will illuminate the square with thousands of twinkling lights and decorations, marking the official start of the holiday season.
This is a totally FREE event, so join us on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for an afternoon of family fun!
