Ancient Oils and Essential Oils workshop at Imagine Foundry
Biblical Oils Exploration
April 4 – 10 AM – 12 PM
Plants have been part of human history for thousands of years. Some appear again and again in ancient writings.
In this workshop we explore a collection of essential oils connected to the plants mentioned in the Bible. Each oil carries a different scent, history, and traditional use.
Participants will smell, compare, and learn about oils such as:
– Frankincense- Myrrh- Cedarwood- Hyssop- Cypress- Myrtle- Cassia- Cistus- Sacred Sandalwood- Onycha
We will also have real frankincense resin available to see and touch while learning how it was traditionally burned as incense
.
Each participant receives a cedarwood essential oil sample to take home.
Optional hands-on creations using the Biblical oils collection will also be available during the workshop.
April 4 10 AM – 12 PM $10 entry
