Recently retired Tennessee Tech professor Dr. James Akenson will engage the audience with the history and contemporary status of Upper Cumberland Country Music. African American string bands of long ago, Lester Flatt, Frazier Moss, Jake Hoot, Granville, HUB 1400, The Country Giant, and the Crossville Palace Theatre will be just some of the topics shared. Country Music in the Upper Cumberland will show that “The Big Picture is the Small Picture is the Big Picture.” Y’all come!
