Internationally acclaimed clarinetist Doreen Ketchens takes the stage for a dynamic collaboration with the orchestra, performing a range of selections that showcase her extraordinary artistry, charisma, and signature New Orleans flair.
Audiences will delight in her renditions of beloved favorites such as What a Wonderful World, The Saints Go Marching In blended with Amazing Grace, and House of the Rising Sun, each infused with her vibrant musical personality.
Presented in part by Centerstage, this special appearance promises energy, elegance, and joyful musicianship.
The program also features Amy Beach’s powerful and richly lyrical Symphony in E minor, “Gaelic Symphony”, a landmark American work filled with sweeping melodies and Celtic-inspired themes. Conducted by Dan Allcott, this exciting evening seamlessly blends virtuosity, tradition, and American symphonic brilliance into one captivating performance.
