Self-Defense Workshop
This self-defense workshop teaches practical skills for personal safety by focusing on mental awareness, physical preparedness, and confidence-building techniques. Participants will learn basic self-defense principles in a friendly, self-paced environment. No prior experience, special strength, or flexibility required.
Students should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and be ready for light to moderate physical activity. Class will be held Cane Creek Rec Center, and tickets are $20.00.
Instructor Sensei West has over 15 years of martial arts experience and holds a 3rd Dan black belt in Tracy Kenpo, with ongoing training toward his 4th Dan. He has also trained extensively in Aikido and Tai Chi and currently studies under Master Hamm of the World Budoshin White Tiger Hapkido Federation. His Kenpo class is affiliated with Tennessee Tech University and offered for P.E. credit.
