Inspired by a six-month journey around the world, Molly and Barry Reese created a place where memorable meals and meaningful moments come together.

Since opening in 2023, WestSide restaurant Fire & Vine has offered diners connection, togetherness, and the opportunity to slow down over a delicious meal.
“Fire & Vine really grew out of our belief that some of the best things in life happen around the table. We have always loved bringing people together over great food, but a six-month trip around the world with our four boys in 2019 really shaped our vision. Along the way, we experienced so many wonderful, family-owned restaurants where dining was about much more than the food. We experienced families welcoming us into their restaurants, sharing their culture and traditions, and creating memorable experiences around the table,” co-owner Molly Reese said.

“Those experiences stayed with us. When we created Fire & Vine, we wanted to bring some of that same feeling home to Cookeville: a place with exceptional food, but also warmth, hospitality, and a sense that gathering around the table still matters. We wanted Fire & Vine to be a place where people celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, meet friends for dinner, bring their families, and create memories of their own.”

Fire & Vine is just the latest launch for Molly and her husband, Barry Reese, who have been business owners in Cookeville for two decades. From Fire & Vine’s inception, the couple set out to create a dining option that not only offered delicious, internationally inspired food and the finest drink options, but also provided a venue for making special moments.
“Every business has taught us something different, but Fire & Vine has been especially meaningful because it combines so many things we care about—our community, hospitality, food, creating experiences and developing young people,” Molly stated.
“We would love for people to understand that Fire & Vine was never intended to be just another restaurant. From the beginning, we wanted to create a place Cookeville could be proud of and a place where hospitality is just as important as the food. We talk a lot with our team about going beyond what is expected. Sometimes the smallest gesture can completely change someone’s experience. We want to notice the birthday, remember the anniversary, celebrate the engagement, take care of the family having a difficult day, or simply make an ordinary Tuesday night feel a little more special.”
