Hannah Fox and Sara Chambers are Redefining What Marketing Looks Like for Growing Businesses Through Privy Clear
Three years.
That’s how long Hannah Fox and Sara Chambers have been reimagining marketing in the Upper Cumberland through their firm, Privy Clear, LLC.
To celebrate the anniversary, and a recent Best Advertising Agency in The Upper Cumberland Award from the Herald Citizen, we sat down with the pair to discuss the origins of Privy, what separates them from the field, and how they can help anyone reading this maximize their businesses and dreams.
“Privy means to be “in the know” or part of a secret/hidden group,” Fox said. “We feel like so much of what we do in the advertising space is reserved for brands like big Nike, Amazon, Walmart, etc. – it feels cut off and secret to small businesses ready to grow. That is what we aim to illuminate and deliver to businesses across the country, but especially within the Upper Cumberland.”
“For me, Privy is about pulling back the curtain. Enterprise brands have always had access to sophisticated data tracking and programmatic ad networks, while small businesses get told that ‘marketing’ just means posting pretty graphics on social media,” Chambers added. “We wanted to change that. We bring high-level technical advertising to growing businesses, giving them the exact tools and data strategies usually gatekept by massive corporations.”

Trying to find a marketing partner can be overwhelming and confusing. This begs the question, “Why Privy?”
“Our differentiators from competitors are plenty. We are proud Google partners, both individually and as an agency. We are 1 of 1,888 businesses in the United States to obtain that status as an agency, meaning we are in the 3.52% of advertising agencies in the United States to acquire this status. For context, there are 114,014 registered advertising agencies in the United States (according to IBISWORLD),” Fox stated.
“We provide what most marketing and advertising agencies skip – the tracking and integrations that run in the background. These are the things that give business owners a quantitative metric on which to base business decisions. For example: views on Facebook posts or potential billboard views are fine, but what does that mean in terms of actual conversions (leads, phone calls, sales)?

We like to provide our clients with an actual return on ad spend that they can then use to make their judgement calls. We also provide monthly reporting to our clients, giving them full control of their ad spend and decision-making.”
“Marketing” is a broad, often misunderstood term. Privy eliminates the abstract and vague aspects of the industry by providing concrete, measurable deliverables.
“Privy Clear offers a variety of services traditionally performed by an in-house marketer. We primarily run Google and Meta advertisements. What we didn’t realize when we started was these ads were more than just that interface. The piece many companies and marketers miss is the tracking. The tracking led us to learn how to code. I can confidently code in 3 languages, and Sara in 5.”
Fox added, “From integrating so much on the back end, we were able to understand how websites were structured and began building on WordPress, because we can’t do anything the easy way. At that point our view zoomed out, and the full funnel became our focus. We began filling gaps like SEO (Search Engine Optimization), email marketing, press releases, political campaigning, app building, graphic design, and business strategy. Basically, at this point, our goal is to act as an in-house marketer.”

Beyond metrics and services, Privy is built on Hannah and Sara’s deep friendship and a shared vision for treating client goals like their own.
“Hannah and I joke that we are platonic soulmates, but it’s true,” Chambers said. “Building a business from scratch takes absolute trust, shared obsession, and the ability to laugh through high-stress problem-solving. We pour everything into our clients’ bottom lines because we act as true partners in their growth. If you’re ready to move past vanity metrics and actually engineer profitable sales, that’s what Privy Clear is here for.”
If you are an entrepreneur or decision maker looking to create the brightest possible future for your business or idea, look no further than Privy Clear.
