The Fall 2026 edition of Cookeville Lifestyle is officially available now, and this issue is packed with stories celebrating creativity, community, local business and the people who continue to make the Upper Cumberland such a special place to call home.
Gracing the cover is New York Times bestselling author Hannah Whitten, a Cookeville native whose love of books and storytelling began right here at home. From an imaginative young reader at Capshaw Elementary to the author of six novels, Whitten’s story is a reminder that remarkable careers can begin in familiar places.

Inside, readers will meet more of the people shaping our community. Dr. Alissa Hudson of Middle Tennessee Eye shares the personal journey that led her into medicine and ophthalmology, while Sabrina Brazle and the team at Provision Realty Group reflect on growth, relationships and building a brokerage designed to serve families across Middle and East Tennessee.
The issue also shines a light on organizations with heart. Readers can learn more about Lend a Paw and its work surrounding pet-loss support, service dogs and puppy raising, as well as Seeds Maternity, a nonprofit maternity store working to make essentials and support more accessible to local mothers and babies.

Home and design take center stage with a look inside the 2026 Upper Cumberland Parade of Homes Designer Edition, featuring local designers and the craftsmanship behind some of the region’s most inspiring spaces.
For those ready to get outside this fall, we head to Cummins Falls State Park, where readers can discover more about one of the Upper Cumberland’s most recognizable natural landmarks, from its 75-foot waterfall and gorge hike to ways visitors of different abilities can experience the park.

Throughout the edition, you’ll also find local businesses, community faces, seasonal inspiration and stories of entrepreneurs doing things a little differently, including a closer look at Pedigree Peptides and the people behind the growing local business.

Celebrating the Fall Edition
Of course, a new edition calls for a celebration! We officially launched the Fall 2026 edition of Cookeville Lifestyle surrounded by our advertisers, featured guests, contributors and friends at Taverna on the Green.

A special thank you to Chef Nick and the entire Taverna on the Green team for hosting us and treating our guests to such delicious food throughout the evening. Their hospitality helped make the night a wonderful celebration of not only this new edition, but also the people and businesses who make Cookeville Lifestyle possible.

There’s something special about seeing the stories we’ve spent months working on finally in print and getting to celebrate alongside so many of the people who helped bring those pages to life. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped welcome another edition of Cookeville Lifestyle into the community.
