When Ryan Risher took a leap of faith in 2018 and entered the Cookeville real estate market, he could not have predicted how dramatically his life would change.

A Cookeville native with deep roots in the community, Ryan was drawn to real estate by his passion for people and meaningful connection. After spending years working in a corporate office environment, he realized he longed for face-to-face relationships and the opportunity to directly serve families during some of life’s most important milestones.

Encouraged by his wife Devin, Ryan stepped away from the security of his corporate career and pursued real estate full time. Today, he is one of the Upper Cumberland’s top performing real estate agents, serving clients through Skender-Newton Realty in Cookeville.

Ryan’s life experiences have deeply shaped the way he approaches his career. Having lost his father at the age of seven and previously serving as a foster parent, he understands both hardship and hope. Those experiences influence the compassion, patience, and care he brings to every transaction.
